(TITC) - On 31st December, Tay Ninh will organize a market and fireworks display to celebrate the New Year 2025 at the Sun World Ba Den Mountain tourist area. This is one of the special events at the end of the year to promote and attract tourists to Tay Ninh.

Accordingly, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on 31st December, Ba Den leaf market will be held with the hope of bringing a new year full of prosperity and many flavours to people and tourists.
This is a very special market, only found in Tay Ninh, where people do not use money, but use leaves to buy food and drinks...Each visitor passing through the cable car ticket gate to the top of Ba Den Mountain will be given a Bodhi leaf to exchange for optional food and drinks. Many attractive dishes will be available at this leaf market such as it cake, banh cuon (steamed rice rolls), ú cake, xu xe cake, bot loc cake, bo cake, da lon cake, cassava steamed with coconut, sweet soup, sticky rice…

The leaf market is a unique cultural feature in Tay Ninh that was initiated decades ago in Hoa Thanh commune on the occasion of the New Year. Here, everyone contributes their own money to create stalls selling a variety of local dishes, and leaves are used instead of money for payment. Participating in this unique market, both sellers and buyers are happy, wishing for health and a prosperous and happy life in the new year.

This year, at Ba Den Mountain, an activity not to be missed is the spectacular Hello 2025 art program with eye-catching fireworks display that will take place at 7:30 p.m. on 31st December at the Ba Den Mountain cable car station square. The program was organized on a large scale with artistic performances full of spring atmosphere, along with the participation of famous singers. In Particular, there was the appearance of Miss Super Global International 2024, Indian Sangeeta Rani, along with a team of models in a unique Ao Dai fashion show by Designer Tan Le.
Ba Den Mountain is an extinct volcano located in the center of Tay Ninh province. With a height of 986m, it is currently the highest mountain in Southern Vietnam, known as "The First Heavenly Mountain".
The Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival is held from 4th to the end of the first month of the Lunar Calendar every year with the three most important days being the 4th, 5th and 6th.
In 2019, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recognized the Linh Son Thanh Mau Festival of Ba Den Mountain as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. This is also the leading spiritual and cultural destination and famous cultural experience in the South.
