Spring Festival in Tet 2025 in Dien Bien Dong will take place from 30th January to 1st February 2025 ((2nd to 4th day of Tet) with many attractive cultural and sports activities, imbued with the traditional culture of ethnic minorities in the highlands. There are bullfighting festivals, traditional costume shows, flute performances, rice cake pounding, banh chung wrapping, sports competitions… Activities are distributed widely on the streets, stadiums, and outdoor stages in the center of Dien Bien Dong district.

A highlight of the Spring Festival activities is the traditional bullfighting festival. The bullfighting festival gathers large, strong, and resilient bulls that are carefully selected from within and outside the district. Bullfighting is not only about winning or losing but also a chance for people to relax and show off their achievements after a year of raising cattle.

Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Dong District People's Committee Nguyen Van Tang said that Dien Bien Dong Spring Festival is a series of competition and exchange activities that fully converge cultural features in the lives of local people. In which bullfighting festival is an annual activity of the district. The bullfighting festival has been expanded and spread, becoming a great playground for the people of the Northwest in general. The district has expanded the scope of participation not only for people in the district and province but also for people from neighboring provinces. So far, Dien Bien Dong district has more than 60 bull fighters to participate. The largest number of bulls are from Phi Nhu and Sa Dung communes.
