This is also a key legal basis for building a tourism data system in a synchronous and unified direction to serve state management, policy making, tourism promotion and business.
The viewpoint set in the Project is to build a tourism industry database system, one of the foundations contributing to the development of sustainable e-Government. Building and developing a tourism industry database system to ensure national information security and safety.
In addition, the information in the tourism industry database system will be standardized, shared and extracted reasonably and effectively, creating new values, thereby developing available information resources to ensure savings and efficiency.
Above all is to promote the role and responsibility of local tourism agencies, businesses and tourism service establishments. Develop and consummate the tourism industry database system towards real-time, ensuring authenticity; avoid the implementation of building duplicate information and data content.
The project aims to build and develop a comprehensive and unified system, nationwide to serve state management of tourism, and at the same time contribute to tourism promotion. Extracting, connecting, and synchronizing databases associated with administrative reform, improving state governance capacity based on modern technology, identifying data as the foundation for developing digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
In recent times, the construction of a tourism industry database has encountered many difficulties, coming from the fact that the implementation of the tourism statistical reporting regime on an online platform has not been put in mind. The online platform for reporting tourism statistics already exists, however, to have live data, it is necessary for localities and businesses to be proactive and active in reporting according to regulations and integrating data into the database of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism and the requirement of the Prime Minister.
Hopefully, in the coming time, along with raising awareness of digital transformation in the tourism industry, data digitization and data integration into a common database will be carried out synchronously, ensuring connectivity from the central to the grassroots levels, gradually forming a large database in the industry, meeting the requirements of state management, tourism business and effective promotion in the new period.
