(TITC) - On 17 September 2024, in Ha Noi, Deputy Minister Ho An Phong and Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh co-chaired a working session on preparation for organizing the Visit Vietnam Year 2025.
Deputy Minister Ho An Phong emphasized the traditional values, antiquity, and long history of the ancient capital, its cultural, landscape, and architectural values, all has been created Hue tourism - a key point on the national tourism. Therefore, choosing Thua Thien Hue as the host of the Visit Vietnam Year 2025 is very appropriate.
According to the report of Thua Thien Hue Department of Tourism, it is expected that Thua Thien Hue province will host about 62 activities. Notable activities include: Announcing Hue Festival 2025 and the Art Program recreating the Ban Soc Ceremony of Nguyen Dynasty in the form of dramatization; Welcoming the Royal New Year; Hue Symphony; VnEpress Marathon Hue; Hue Days - Culinary Capital; Hue Lotus Festival 2025; Hue Ao Dai Art Program; Vietnamese Cuisine Week; Traditional Boat Race on the Huong River; Hue International Lantern Festival 2025; Lion and Dragon Festival (Hue Lion Performance and Mid-Autumn Festival Street Lantern Procession); Hue Culture - Tourism - Investment Promotion Week in Ha Noi...
The province proposed activities jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial People's Committee, including: Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony and press conference or Culture - Tourism Week introducing the Visit Vietnam Year 2025. At the same time, the province also requested the Ministry to pay attention to and select a number of other activities on culture, art, cinema, and sports competitions to organize in Thua Thien Hue.
Chairman of Vietnam National Authority of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh said this is the second time Hue has hosted the Visit Vietnam Year, after 2013. The organization of the Visit Vietnam Year has always brought positive impacts, creating remarkable growth for localities.
Chairman suggested the theme of Visit Vietnam Year - Hue 2025: "The capital of creative culture" based on harnessing exploiting and honoring the cultural heritage values associated with innovation and creativity in the context of integration and development.
He also agreed that the events and activities proposed by the province to take place in 4 seasons, lasting throughout 2025. These events are cleverly organized, fully combining the fields of culture, sports and tourism.
