Giving opening remarks, Mr. Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Organising Board of Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa Culture and Tourism Week in Thanh Hoa Province in 2024 and Mr. Dau Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee stressed, Dien Bien and Thanh Hoa are both lands with magnificent nature, unique culture and heroic history, with special appeal to tourists. In particular, the loyal army and people of the two provinces left a deep mark in the Dien Bien Phu Victory 70 years ago.

Therefore, the two provinces of Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa coordinate to organise the Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa Culture and Tourism Week in 2024. This is an important activity towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory; At the same time, it is an opportunity to introduce historical - cultural values and typical tourism products of the two provinces; creating a harmony in the space of "Cultural colours" of the ethnic groups of the Northwest region and the ethnic groups of Thanh Hoa. Thereby, affirming the achievements of cooperation in all fields between Dien Bien Province and Thanh Hoa Province, demonstrating the cultural harmony and solidarity between ethnic people of Dien Bien and Thanh Hoa; creating many opportunities to connect cultural and tourism products, contributing to promoting links and developing tourism and economy between Dien Bien and Thanh Hoa, as well as with the whole country and internationally.

Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa Culture and Tourism Week with various activities, containing the national cultural identity and historical characteristics of the land of Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa will create a vibrant, colourful community cultural space, blending with the jubilant atmosphere preparing to welcome the new year 2024. In particular, with many meaningful activities, the event will contribute to promoting the development of the tourism industry of the two localities; at the same time, build Dien Bien - Thanh Hoa to become a bright spot in joining hands to create a brand, contributing to the growing development of Vietnam tourism, reaching out to the world, achieving new milestones in the coming time.
